Landscape Planning & Assessment
We work with land owners and developers, planning consultants and local authorities, architects and engineers as well as energy and utility companies. We offer a full range of landscape planning advice including strategic masterplanning, design, assessments and providing evidence at Public Inquiry.
We have extensive local knowledge throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. This is particularly important when dealing with the many sensitive rural landscapes associated with the South West.
Critical to the success of a development project is a thorough understanding of the sites attributes together with that of the surrounding landscape, to identify opportunities and constraints at an early stage of the design process.
Redbay can prepare informal landscape appraisals and statements to support smaller developments, or undertake extensive landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA), either as a standalone report or as part of a wider environmental statement.
We can also assist our clients with the planning process, either at the application stage or through negotiations with planning officers and the discharging of conditions. With a practical and flexible attitude to every situation, we provide constructive advice and support, leading to a positive result for everyone concerned.
